Small Scale Off-grid

Off-Grid PV and Energy Storage

22.93 kWp of Solar PV Modules

41.4 kWh Battery Energy Storage

Geraldton, Western Australia

March 2019

At a property in Geraldton, we designed and installed a standalone off-grid solar power system engineered to deliver reliable and sustainable energy supply without any grid connection. The installation incorporates a 22.93 kWp solar photovoltaic array, configured with high-efficiency modules to maximise generation across seasonal conditions. Energy storage is provided by a 41.4 kWh lithium battery bank, integrated with a hybrid inverter/charger system to manage both load distribution and storage cycles efficiently. The system has been sized to support the property’s daily consumption profile, incorporating redundancy for peak loads and reserve autonomy during extended periods of low solar irradiance. Intelligent monitoring and control software allow real-time system oversight, battery management, and performance optimisation. This design ensures the property has a robust, resilient, and low-maintenance energy solution, capable of fully supporting off-grid operation while significantly reducing reliance on fossil-fuel backup generation.
