Minna Oval

GreenerTek is pleased to announce the delivery of a high-performance solar energy solution at Minna Oval in Tom Price. This project, currently underway, involves the design and installation of a 39.6 kWp grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Purpose-built to reduce energy costs, minimise carbon emissions, and enhance the long-term sustainability of the facility, the system forms part of a broader community initiative supported by Rio Tinto’s $10 million contribution to local infrastructure upgrades.

Beyond the immediate economic and environmental benefits, this installation represents a strategic investment in renewable infrastructure for the Tom Price community. The Minna Oval solar system will save around 49 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, the equivalent to taking about 20 cars off the road. It highlights the combined efforts of the Shire and Rio Tinto in fostering sustainable regional development, while showcasing GreenerTek’s expertise in delivering dependable, fit-for-purpose renewable energy solutions tailored to the unique needs of regional facilities.
